Mini Adirondack Chair

Spring is here and I Love preparing our yard for the barbecues fire pits and days by the pool. A few years ago before Mae I made some Adirondack chairs for Gabe and I to lounge about in the yard.  Now that Mae is walking around everywhere I thought that a chair for her would be a nice addition. When I originally made the Adirondack chairs I used This Sorta Old Life plans. These are awesome plans they give you step by step directions making it very easy to build.  When I made Mae's chair I sized it down quite...

Kitty Rag Doll

When I was on anthropology's website the other day I saw the cutest deer rag dolls for little girls!! They were absolutely adorable and I wanted to get one for Mae but I didn’t feel like paying the $30 price tag. When I went home I decided to try to make her one, but instead of a deer I wanted to go with the cat since it’s Mae’s favorite. This was a very fun project to make anyone with some sewing experience can make it. The hand embroidery is probably the most difficult part, but if you take your time...

Upcycle Old Jeans

Scrolling through Instagram, the other day, I came across the cutest jean skirt from H&M, I was planning to buy it but thought instead it would make a great DIY project.  When I was in high school I made a few jean mini skirts so I knew they're not too hard to make.  I'm not the best sewer I learned a little from my mom, but mostly I'm self taught, meaning anyone can make this skirt. It's a great project for beginners and a great way to upcycle an old pair of jeans!  Unfortunately I didn't have any jeans I...

Children’s Pull Toy

Time flies I remember being so excited on Thanksgiving when Mae took her first steps. Now she's going around everywhere; nothing can stop her!  I decided it would be fun to make her a little hedgehog toy to pull along with her on her many adventures.  This was a fun and easy diy project and it turned out super cute. A great one for beginners and would make the perfect 1st birthday present for any child!!! Mae loves hers, she has been pulling it around everywhere across the house, through the back yard, even out to the mailboxes. SO CUTE!!...

PINK Guitar Upcycle

I’ll start by saying I don’t have a musical bone in my body. I wish I had learned to play something anything but sadly I did not; I don’t even have good rhythm.  Luckily I married a very musical talented man! He plays the guitar, bass, drums, and a little piano. Nothing’s better than your husband playing you a song on his guitar or so I thought. The best thing is walking into the room and he is playing a song for our daughter!!! So stinking cute and she is just watching him mesmerized bouncing up in down to the...

Now with little Mae I thought of the perfect project for this dress... a little romper. It turned out really cute and was easy to make.   SUPPLIES: ►Dress (or any fabric with some stretch to it) ►Pins ►Romper...

Outdoor Fire Pit Tutorial

It’s the perfect time of the year in Arizona to have a fire pit. In the summer it’s way too hot and now it’s just cool enough to really enjoy one. A few months back we ended up getting 10 tons of rock to recover our backyard so we had to take down our old fire pit and decided, finally put it back up as fun Sunday night activity. Previous fire pit was a lot larger in circumference and not as tall we decided to do a scan you’re taller one this time just for a fun change. Luckily we...
