Tiered Planter

Before moving I gave away quite a few of our in door plants.  Since we were moving so far I didn't want to worry about them moving, spilling or dying during the move. So when we got up to Washington I had to start collecting them again. Along with those plants I gave away their containers though! Time to make a few more!!  Last year I posted a diy on making a hanging planter to expand on that planter this year I wanted to share how to make a 3 tiered planter. A great way to show off all of...

Easy Cute Backyard Pumpkin Patch

I am completely reminiscing I CANNOT believe Mae is turning 2 in a few weeks!!  For Mae’s 1st birthday we decided to have a Halloween themed party. Since her birthday is right before Halloween we decided to create our own pumpkin patch and it worked perfectly! All the kids came dressed up and even us adults got in on the fun!  Since the weather is somewhat nice at the end of October in Arizona we wanted to have some fun outdoor activities so we made a little pumpkin patch. It turned out so adorable and was a perfect spot for pictures....

Mini Adirondack Chair

Spring is here and I Love preparing our yard for the barbecues fire pits and days by the pool. A few years ago before Mae I made some Adirondack chairs for Gabe and I to lounge about in the yard.  Now that Mae is walking around everywhere I thought that a chair for her would be a nice addition. When I originally made the Adirondack chairs I used This Sorta Old Life plans. These are awesome plans they give you step by step directions making it very easy to build.  When I made Mae's chair I sized it down quite...

PLANT LADY

I LOVE PLANTS!!! I love them in inside and outside, I love them everywhere! They add life to your home and make it feel more welcoming and warm. Now with little Miss. Mae being mobile and getting into everything (as most moms know) I have had to get creative with where to put them.  I have them on shelves, counter tops, side tables, where ever they are out of her reach.  I am running out of space though, so I decided to make some cute hanging planters. Today I put together one that has been very popular on my...

Outdoor Fire Pit Tutorial

It’s the perfect time of the year in Arizona to have a fire pit. In the summer it’s way too hot and now it’s just cool enough to really enjoy one. A few months back we ended up getting 10 tons of rock to recover our backyard so we had to take down our old fire pit and decided, finally put it back up as fun Sunday night activity. Previous fire pit was a lot larger in circumference and not as tall we decided to do a scan you’re taller one this time just for a fun change. Luckily we...

Patio Furniture Upcycle

As the weather warms up (here in Arizona at least), we have been spending more and more time outside. Once February hit Gabe and I are in the yard updating thing or starting new project! We were given some patio furniture from a family member when we moved into the house. Over the years due to the AZ sun it had taken quite a beating. So a 3 years ago I ended up updating all of it and then doing it again after that 2 years ago and thought I would share the awesome transformation with you and what I...
