Chai Tea Latte Recipe
We are finally getting settled in up here in Washington! Loving it so far, the weather is wonderful, there are trees everywhere and the wildlife, we have seen deer everyday. Exactly what we were hoping for! We don’t even mind the rain since we were coming from AZ, (i’m sure that will change). The only negative about our cute little town is there is no coffee shop in walking distance for Mae and I. Probably a blessing save a little extra money. The truth is I don’t even like coffee….but I do LOVE chai tea lattes! I found a few recipes online and took a little from here and a little from there, I thought I would share it with you! Very easy and perfect for the fall weather!
► 9 Chai Tea Bags (any kind works)
► 1 1/3 Cup of Sugar
► Any Spices you Like (cinnamon, vanilla etc)
1. Take 9 tea bags remove any paper from the bags
2. Place them in a pot with 4 cups of water, and bring water to a boil. Once boiling remove from heat and allow the tea to seep for 10-20 min. I usually lat it set for 20 min. so its nice and strong
3. After 20 min. remove all tea bags add the 1 1/3 cup of sugar bring mixture to a boil. Once boiling reduce heat to med and let it sit for 10-20 min. The longer you wait the more condensed the solution will be. It should reduce and thicken into a chai syrup. You can pour your solution into a container and use it for the next week
4. To make the latte warm up some mix on the stove. Once it is hot enough you can froth your milk using an electric milk frother which you can order on amazon
Pour about 1/3 syrup to 3/4 milk (depending how strong you made your syrup) in a mug and enjoy.
